Difference between works in front-end and back-end development

The back-end focuses almost exclusively on programming and query languages, are more concerned with structure and performance, and work with the part of the web experience that actually talks to the computer it's running on.
 

On the other hand, front-end is focused on multiple language types (programming, markup, stylesheet), are more concerned with how a website is perceived by others, and need to deal with frustrations like browser inconsistencies. 

Some people believe that good CS graduates tend to prefer working with back-end development.
