How to study well at school
There are many factors affect academic performance. Among the most important are the following:
Motivation to learn
Learners may have different movitation: to improve oneself, to achieve specific goals (pass exam, enter university, to obtain scholarship, work…). Motivation helps learners direct their energy and attention, improving their learning efficiency.
Discipline
Students must work hard and regularly to understand difficult concepts, to finish assignments and homework on time. Without discipline, good learning habits can not be formed. Thus, high and sustained performance is impossible.
Mild pressure
Pressure might come from family, teachers and peers. It is crucial. Students need pressure to force themselves to learn and try harder. Pressure or high demanding will stretch students’ ability, building stronger and and better skills. However, too much pressure is harmful, too little does not have significant impact. Just enough is the key.
Without those factors, it is hard for student to succeed in academic world. Both teachers and parents can work together to foster academic performance of students.
