Write essay to convince parents so that you can study at University in Europe
Writing task: Write an essay of about 250 – 600 words to convince your parents that Europe is a good choice for you to study at university.
Europe is one of the best places in the world to study. Each year over a million of foreign students choose Europe to spend their college life. There are many good reasons for this choice and in this essay, I want to convince my parents to support my study plan in Europe after high school for the three most important reasons: Europe has many excellent universities, good environment to make a person better, and big opportunity for getting a good job after graduating from university.
Europe has many excellent universities that can help me to reach my ambition. As you know, I want to become a really good mechanical engineer, graduating from a world-class university and Europe has many truly excellent universities that has programs match my dream. For example, Berlin University in Germany is among the top schools in the world according to the Time Higher Education ranking. It has not just state-of-the-art facilities for learning, but also many expert teachers who had worked many years at famous companies. Learning with them not only helps me absorb the deep know-how in the field, but also connect with real-world problems of corporations where I can find internship and get good job later.
Studying and living in Europe will improve my life skills, especially communication skills, problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, decision-making skills and self-awareness. These skills will help me enormously in the future. Typically, a class in the EU University is multinational, consisting of people coming from different countries and they naturally have different cultures. If I study with in these classes, I must learn to talk and connect with them effectively, and by this way my communication skills and interpersonal skills will improve gradually. In addition to that, when I live in Europe, I live alone far from my family so I must learn to think independently, take good care of myself, and solve all problems by myself. Over the years, I will become more mature, reaching my best version as a person and being ready to continue my journey in the world following my dream.
After studying in Europe, I can get a well-paying job there. Europe has thousands of good companies, so I will have a high chance to get a good job after graduating. In fact, according to recent statistics, over 95% of students who graduated from Berlin University get good jobs after 3 months. This is one of the schools I want to apply for. One reason for this is the professors at school have deep connections with industries and they can introduce students to do internships and be recruited right after leaving. The schools also organize many job fairs where students can talk and contact with companies in different parts of Europe, therefore the opportunity is very high. Furthermore, Europe is a community of 27 countries, thus the job market is big and I can move around easily to find work. What I need to do is be prepared.
That said, studying in Europe is a great opportunity for me, which helps me to grow as a person, to develop my skills and knowledge, and to be ready to live well in the future because it has many great universities to learn from, a good environment to train myself in and a large job market to work.
